With the beauty and charm of Asheville, North Carolina setting the stage, Pamela Lynn Guthier and Derek Jason Allen launched their new life together. Joined by their families from both North Carolina and Vermont, and attended by close companions from college and childhood, they shared a weekend filled with love and laughter, where the scenery - like their love - was one-of-a-kind. And that includes Derek's first view of Pam, too, as she turned the corner to start down the aisle. That's what he remembers most about the evening of July 18, 1998.

With the guidance of expert Gwenn Ford of Wedding Inspirations in Asheville, Pam and Derek made the most of poses before hopping aboard a decorated golf cart, ready to meet guests at The Grove Park Inn Country Club.

Even with busy lives, they happily share memories of the day, especially with each shimmer of Pam's engagement ring that joins diamonds from earrings Derek gave to her earlier in their courtship, with a new center stone. From Derek's proposal to their wedding night departure amid a shower of Pam's favorite rose petals, they recall the fun of blending each other's ideas to create a most wonderful day.
