David and I had been friends for about four years when a group of us decided to see the Polyphonic Spree. If you haven't seen them, let's just say it's quite an experience - imagine the happiest lyrics ever written sung by two-dozen deliriously happy people. All that joy must have been catagious, because after four years of friendship - David kissed me.
Fast-forward fourteen months to New York where I was running the New York Marathon. After the race, David and I went to Hawaii so I could recharge. He proposed on the beach at sunset. By the following morning, we knew we were going to do the wedding in the North Carolina Mountains. My family was in North Carolina and David had family in Tennessee, so it was perfect. All we had to do now was plan it.
The entire wedding weekend from the rehearsal dinner to the last dance was truly amazing. Our entire wedding party stayed at the Woodfield Inn, so it felt like we were visiting a guest's historic home. By the end of the weekend, Jodi and Eric, the owners felt like old friends. And Gwenn Ford from Wedding Inspiration, like a second mom.
